*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.
Engineering at Lambda is responsible for building and scaling our cloud offering. Our scope includes the Lambda website, cloud APIs and systems as well as internal tooling for system deployment, management and maintenance.
What You’ll Do
Maintain, improve, and curate the growing fleet backing our CI/CD tooling
Use Terraform to configure, manage, and onboard SaaS services central to Engineering
Create reusable templates and best practices for common CI/CD workflows
Develop and maintain internal tooling to support and provide leverage to Engineers
Work closely with customer teams to identify and address areas of improvement within the team’s scope
Participate in an on-call rotation, providing coverage for our critical systems and supporting the team by triaging incoming requests and writing documentation/runbooks
You
Are tenacious, learn from doing, and are excited to wear multiple hats within a highly collaborative team
Have 2+ years experience with infrastructure-as-code/configuration management tooling such as Ansible or Terraform
Have 2+ years working in a cloud environment like AWS or GCP
Have a strong customer-centric mindset, and value empowering your peers
Are comfortable working with CI/CD systems to automate running workflows
Nice to Have
Production-quality coding skills in Python
Experience working with Kubernetes
Familiarity with virtualization and/or containerization tooling (KVM, Docker, etc.)
Experience managing Linux systems
Experience working with SaaS vendors
Exposure to compliance efforts such as SOCII, SOX, etc.
Experience managing baremetal systems
Salary Range Information
Based on market data and other factors, the annual salary range for this position is $180,000-$250,000 annually. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
