We are seeking highly skilled Platform Engineers to support the planned and reactive maintenance compliance platform, a critical component in ensuring the seamless operation of our sanctions-related technologies.
Your Impact and Contribution
In this role, your impact will be instrumental in our commitment to setting the standard for world class Financial Crimes compliance, through ensuring the timely remediation of incidents and delivering stable, secure and available platform solutions.
As a skilled and suitably experienced Platform Engineer, you will support the development, implementation and ongoing operational maintenance of our Group payments sanctions technology platforms. Working with cutting-edge tech, and supported by world-leading multi-disciplinary teams, your role will contribute to the timely, accurate and geo-jurisdictional enforcement of payment sanction commitments, thus ensuring protections for our customers and communities.
To achieve this, your role may include but not limited to:
- Providing technical expertise during incident response, offering up to L3 support in diagnosing and resolving complex issues and remediating platform incidents.
- Identifying trends in incidents and implementing automated solutions to prevent future occurrences and optimise platform performance.
- Communicating effectively with business and technical teams during incidents, providing timely updates.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of incidents, resolutions, and platform configurations.
- Conducting post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to drive continuous system improvements.
- Proactively identifying system risks related to data integrity and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Automating repetitive tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve system efficiency.
- Proactively identifying system risks of data failure, data loss, inappropriate disclosure or use of data and then designing and implementing solutions to mitigate.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to be solution focused and in a complex, high-stakes and fast-moving environment.
- Experience in DevOps and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices.
- Software development experience in integration and database technology is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of Linux-hosted applications, including installation and operation.
- Proficiency in automating tasks using shell scripting or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with AWS, particularly using CloudFormation and the Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and willingness to learn and support complex enterprise systems.
- Well-developed understanding and have experience working with ITIL best practice frameworks.
