We are looking for a Platform (DevOps) Engineer to join our IT Operations team, where you will have the opportunity to focus on designing and implementing effective and efficient solutions for software delivery and operations by standardising and automating the processes.
As a Platform Engineer at Breakwater you will:
- Design solutions for building and integrating software and automating software delivery and release process
- Build out scalable solutions for our high-performing customers
- Support other teams in infrastructure/automation configuration issues
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the teams in the product development teams
The profile we are looking for:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Understanding of GitOps approach and tools (ArgoCD/FluxCD)
- Understanding of TLS
- Experience and understanding of Secrets Management solutions (Hashicorp Vault, etc)
- Good knowledge and practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservice architecture
- Good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt/Crossplane)
- Practical Experience with monitoring stack Prometheus/Grafana Stack (Grafana/Mimir/Loki/Tempo)/OpenTelemetry or others
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (GitLab/GitHub or others)
- Experience with SQL database technologies (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with scripting and/or programming languages such as Bash/Python/GoLang
- Willingness to learn and share your knowledge with others
- Great communication skills and focus on teamwork
- Fluent English skills, written and spoken
Other tech know-how that would be nice to have, but we are happy to train you on :
- Strimzi (Kafka Kubernetes Operator)
- Stackgres (PostgreSQL Kubernetes Operator)
- Agile and Scrum way of working
