Platform Developer

As a Platform Developer in the Platform team, you will be challenged with a wide range of tasks, ranging from design, development and maintenance of our FIS Cross-Asset Trading- and Risk Platform. The Platform team is responsible for developing the building blocks and core frameworks for the entire product, including trading, risk management and operations front- to back in all asset classes. The Platform is typically implemented using C++, Python and native techniques which are built for purpose.

We believe you are a Platform Developer with experience developing products in at least one object-oriented language, preferably C++, keen on taking responsibility for your own development including automated testing, support and maintenance.

You will be part of our Cloud journey, where you will develop key features which will take us to the next level of cloud readiness! We already now see that the Cloud journey have increased efficiency in development, QA, DevOps and we also believe it will transform the way customers are running our products!

We are looking for candidates with an interest and experience in Cloud development and cloud migration. You should be familiar with cloud platform services such as Docker and Kubernetes and you should have previous experience from working with one of the major cloud providers, e.g. AWS, Azure or Google cloud.

You will be part of an agile team with skilled and motivated developers and QA that take full responsibility for its solution which includes both working on continuous improvements as well as innovations. By working closely together with senior developers, architects and product owners you will get a deep understanding of market needs and software design.

Position requirements

We expect you to have the following:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering Physics or similar degree
• 4+ years of experience in development, preferably with product like development
• Experience with at least one object-oriented language, preferably C++, Python and/or Java
• Experience with automated testing, preferably GoogleTest
• Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes or equivalent
• Experience with public cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure or Google cloud
• Experience with live updated systems is a big plus
• Experience with PaaS is a plus
• Experience with Cloud native databases is a plus
• Willingness to work in a distributed environment with colleagues in different geographical locations
• Have capacity to deliver high quality software in a high pace environment
• Fluent in English
