Job Title: Salesforce Solutions Architect – Sales Cloud & CPQ
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high‑impact sales and revenue solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of sales strategy, revenue operations, and technical architecture, ensuring Salesforce supports complex selling models, accurate pricing, compliant contracting, and efficient quote‑to‑cash processes. You will act as a trusted advisor to Sales, Commercial, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Cloud & CPQ Solution Architecture
- Own the end‑to‑end architecture for Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ, including lead‑to‑opportunity and quote‑to‑cash processes.
- Design scalable solutions for opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline visibility, and sales productivity.
- Architect CPQ solutions covering:
- Product and bundle modelling
- Pricing strategies and discounting
- Approval workflows
- Quote generation and document automation
- Amendments, renewals, and contract lifecycle management
- Ensure solutions are aligned to commercial policies, revenue recognition principles, and audit requirements.
Business Engagement & Requirements Translation
- Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Product teams to understand selling models and commercial complexity.
- Lead discovery sessions and design workshops to translate business requirements into robust Salesforce and CPQ architectures.
- Challenge assumptions and recommend best‑practice approaches that balance speed, flexibility, and long‑term maintainability.
Integration & Quote‑to‑Cash
- Design integrations between Salesforce, CPQ, and downstream systems such as ERP, billing, invoicing, and finance platforms.
- Define data flows and integration patterns to support accurate pricing, order management, and revenue reporting.
- Ensure data consistency across customer, product, pricing, and contract domains.
Technical Leadership & Governance
- Provide architectural oversight and technical leadership to Salesforce delivery teams.
- Review and approve solution designs, configurations, and customisations.
- Establish governance for CPQ configuration, pricing changes, and release management.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, performance limits, and security standards.
Platform Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Shape the roadmap for Sales Cloud and CPQ capabilities.
- Assess new Salesforce features and CPQ enhancements for business value and technical impact.
- Drive simplification of sales processes and reduction of technical debt over time.
Required Skills & Experience
Salesforce & CPQ Expertise
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience with strong hands‑on expertise in Sales Cloud.
- Proven experience designing and delivering Salesforce CPQ solutions in complex sales environments.
- Deep understanding of:
- Products, price books, discounting, and approval frameworks
- Quote, contract, amendment, and renewal processes
- Salesforce data model, security, and sharing
- Experience with declarative automation and programmatic extensions (Flow, Apex, LWC).
Commercial & Enterprise Architecture
- Strong understanding of quote‑to‑cash and order‑to‑cash processes.
- Experience integrating Salesforce and CPQ with ERP and finance systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and release management in Salesforce environments.
Leadership & Communication
- Ability to communicate complex technical designs to sales and commercial stakeholders.
- Confident facilitator of architecture discussions and decision‑making forums.
- Comfortable operating in agile, product‑led delivery models.
Desirable Qualifications
- Salesforce Certifications, particularly:
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist
- Sales Cloud Consultant
- Integration Architecture Designer
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
