Overview:
Seeking a Senior Device Engineer to serve as a technical expert within our Device Engineering team. Reporting to the Mobility Platform Lead, this role focuses on designing and implementing advanced device management solutions with an emphasis on security and efficiency, leveraging technologies such as The Apple Ecosystem, AndroidOS, Microsoft Intune, Vmware WorkspaceOne,
Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Engineering:
- Engineer scalable and secure solutions for managing iOS, Android, and MacOS platforms in enterprise environments.
- Driving Technical Implementation initiatives such as device migrations and Managed AppleID Enablement across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless integration within workflows and alignment with business objectives.
- Utilize Modern Device Management (MDM) platforms like Microsoft Intune and VMware AirWatch to optimize lifecycle management for all devices.
- Application Packaging and Deployment:
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues related to application packaging and deployment across mobile and MacOS platforms.
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting for development teams in deploying internal applications through Microsoft Intune.
- Innovation and Emerging Technologies:
- Explore and evaluate emerging solutions to enhance device management processes, with a focus on mobile and MacOS platforms.
- Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement in device management and deployment workflows to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Provide architectural support for secondary initiatives involving XR devices, ensuring interoperability and adoption.
- Security and Compliance:
- Design and implement architecture prioritizing data security, device encryption, and compliance with global regulations.
- Work closely with IT security and compliance teams to ensure alignment with organizational policies and standards.
- Collaboration and Team Development:
- Partner with device engineering and IT operational teams to align architectural strategies with organizational objectives and user needs.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members to enhance expertise and efficiency in mobile and MacOS deployment practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions for Mobile Devices and MacOS.
- Expertise with MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune and VMware WorkspaceOne.
- Experience serving as a technical escalation point for application packaging and deployment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as JSON, Script, and Munki.
- Experience with Managing and Configuring Hololens Devices as well as other XR related devices.
- Solid knowledge of security and compliance practices, particularly regarding device encryption and global regulations.
- Strong ability to manage large-scale device deployments with focus on efficiency and performance.
