We are hiring a Plant Sanitarian in Livingston, CA. This position requires on-site presence and the flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime with short notice.

What you’ll do

• Perform hands-on sanitation tasks including the cleaning of equipment and other areas of the facility
• Identify and communicate process issues or risks to help improve operations
• Follow standardized work instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Support and contribute to cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the work area
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities with leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systems and procedures
• Adapt to various shifts and respond to overtime requests when needed and perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience to work with hazardous chemicals
• Experience in documenting completion of tasks per respective master sanitation schedule 
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as well as work in places up to 30' high
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in tight, wet, hot, humid and confined spaces
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment using various hand and power tools
• A flexible mindset with the willingness to work different shifts or extended hours
• The Capacity to perform Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures, drive a forklift, Genie Boom and scissor lift
• Skills to operate a power washer and floor scrubber
• Ability to twist and bend down to reach under and between equipment

Sensient Agricultural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The business unit is located in Livingston, California. 

The pay for this position is $22.02/hour. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
