We are currently seeking a hospitality focused Plant Operations Tech II for our Health Center.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Plant Operations Tech II is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
Essential Job Duties:
1. Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, drywall/concrete repairs, painting, repairing doors and locks, etc.
2. Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
3. Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.
4. Attendance is essential to this job. Must also maintain dependability and punctuality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Long Term Care/ Nursing home setting experience - 1 year required
- Life Safety experience - preferred.
- Technical Certificate or Degree - preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building or hotel required
- Must possess some working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English with residents/staff and take direction well.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to successfully complete a level two - Background Screening through AHCA - https://info.flclearinghouse.com.
Location: Clearwater, FL
Schedule: Mon - Fri; 8am - 4:30pm; Rotating weekends on-call (as needed)
