We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our soy processing facility in Eagle Grove, Iowa. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to deliver operational performance and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for a hands-on agricultural processing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing teams, improving processes, and delivering results.

What You’ll Do

As Plant Operations Manager, you will oversee all operational activities at the facility while leading a team committed to safety, quality, and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production.

  • Build and develop a high-performing operations team through coaching, training, and performance management.

  • Maintain strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements including PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA.

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee plant inventory, storage integrity, transportation coordination, and logistics including rail and truck shipments.

  • Monitor production, financial, and operational metrics to guide decision-making and improve performance.

  • Develop and manage facility capital and operating budgets.

  • Maintain high standards for plant safety, product quality, and facility cleanliness.

  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align operational strategies and meet company objectives.

  • Participate in talent development and succession planning within the facility.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of supervisory or leadership experience

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, processing, or related industrial experience

  • Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations

  • Experience with process automation and controls

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize competing demands, and drive results

  • Strong communication and organizational leadership skills

  • Experience with inventory management and rail/truck logistics

  • Demonstrated business and operational acumen
