Reports To: Director of Operations
Status: Regular Full Time Position - Exempt/Salary

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations for GrayWolf Modular’s modular data center manufacturing business. This role is accountable for safety, quality, delivery, labor productivity, material flow, and operating discipline across a high-mix industrial facility producing large engineered assemblies. The Plant Manager will create the management operating system that keeps production predictable while supporting rapid growth in modular power, cooling, and infrastructure output.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead daily plant operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, throughput, labor productivity, and shipment readiness.

• Coordinate production, warehouse, quality, testing, production control, and operations project management so work flows predictably through the factory.

• Establish a disciplined plant operating system with tier meetings, KPI boards, floor presence, escalation paths, and clear action ownership.

• Partner with engineering and project management on release timing, execution sequencing, capacity, and issue resolution.

• Drive labor planning, staffing, supervision, training, and performance management for a multi-discipline manufacturing workforce.

• Improve plant layout, material flow, work-center discipline, standard work, and visual management.

• Support safe receiving, kitting, point-of-use material strategy, finished-goods staging, and shipping readiness.

• Partner with quality and testing to reduce rework, close issues quickly, and improve overall output predictability.

• Scale plant output without losing operating discipline, plant-floor accountability, or safety focus.

Qualifications:

I. Work Experience

Required

• 10+ years of plant, production, or operations leadership experience in complex industrial manufacturing, modular construction, or engineered-to-order equipment environments.

• Hands-on success improving safety, quality, throughput, labor performance, and schedule adherence in a real plant setting.

II. Skills & Competencies

Required

• Strong plant-floor leadership presence with the ability to create accountability and solve problems in real time.

• Deep understanding of fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, material flow, and shipment-readiness activities.

• Ability to align supervisors, support functions, and hourly teams around clear priorities, metrics, and standards.

Preferred

• Experience with modular data center infrastructure, HAC systems, cooling equipment, switchgear, power buildings, skids, or large engineered assemblies.

• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or formal continuous-improvement background.

• Experience standing up new lines, cells, or facilities.

III. Education

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred.

IV. Software & Technology

Required

• Proficiency with ERP / MRP platforms, production reporting, KPI dashboards, and Microsoft Office.

V. Work Environment

Work is performed in a combination of manufacturing and office environments with frequent time on the plant floor. This role requires walking the facility, engaging production teams directly, and wearing appropriate PPE in industrial areas.

Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request for those who have disabilities that qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

GrayWolf Modular is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
