Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager to join the Lighting & Controls division in St. Louis.

The Plant Manager provides overall leadership and direction for manufacturing operations at OCL and is responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, employee engagement, and continuous improvement 

What Will You Do? 

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy: Provide leadership for all plant operations. Develop and execute strategies aligned with business objectives. Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.  
• Safety & Environmental Leadership: Champion  safety, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead safety initiatives. 
• Manufacturing Operations: Direct production, planning, scheduling, materials, maintenance, and plant performance activities. 
• Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives. 
• Financial Performance: Manage budgets, capital expenditures, labor productivity, inventory, and cost reduction programs. 
• Employee Development: Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members while fostering engagement and inclusion. 

Education

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.   

Experience  

• Minimum 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience and 5 years leading a multi-functional manufacturing facility. Experience with high-mix manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, powder coating/paint operations, assembly, logistics, and engineer-to-order manufacturing environments preferred. 

Qualifications

•  Strong understanding of fabrication, paint, assembly, warehousing, ERP/MRP systems, Lean Manufacturing, budgeting, talent development, and cross-functional leadership. Demonstrated ability to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity results.
