Plant Manager – Reading, Pa
The Plant Manager holds a critical leadership role in driving operational performance, efficiency, and strategic execution. As the head of the site, the role is focused on team management and systems development to enable a highly engaged, controlled and scalable manufacturing environment in compliance with industry-recognized quality systems. Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

- Provide guidance, leadership, and direction to manufacturing departments.
- Foster a customer-centric manufacturing organization.
- Act as a change agent and thought leader, building a culture of safety, inclusion, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee hiring, training and development for all site manufacturing personnel.
- Provide managerial expertise and effective problem-solving techniques to resolve business and manufacturing issues.
- Set, monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate cross functionally with customers and internal stakeholders to support the needs of customers and business.
Essential Skills:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, or related experience.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing systems, with a minimum of 5 years in a management position.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing in either the medical or transportation industry.
- Basic experience with manufacturing analysis tools (ERP/MRP).
- Experience with industry-recognized quality systems (cGMP, ISO9001, ISO14001, TS16949, etc.)

- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, identify priorities, and communicate timelines to team members.
- Strong mathematical skills along with excellent reasoning ability; be able to handle a variety of concrete variables.
- Strong computational background to evaluate raw manufacturing data to interpret and chart performance.
- Strong computational background to drive costing and profitability recommendations and decisions.
- Basic knowledge of business economics and trends of various industries and vertical markets.
- True LEAN Manufacturing experience involving problem solving.

Skills Required
