Job Summary:
Lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure safe, efficient, on-time, and profitable production. This is a hands-on, shop-floor leadership role focused on execution, productivity, quality, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee safety, production, quality, scheduling, and labor utilization
- Improve on-time delivery, productivity, and gross margins
- Reduce overtime, waste, and production bottlenecks
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP and inventory systems
- Develop and hold supervisors accountable for results
- Monitor KPIs and daily production performance
- Solve customer delivery and production issues
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Spend significant time on the shop floor coaching teams
Ideal Candidate:
- Hands-on manufacturing/operations leadership experience
- Experience with metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining, welding, aerospace, defense, or job shop environments
- Strong ERP/MRP, scheduling, inventory, and labor planning experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and KPI management
- AS9100/ISO experience is a plus
- English/Spanish bilingual preferred
- Data-driven, organized, and comfortable making tough decisions
