Role Overview
The Plant Manager I is responsible for leading manufacturing operations to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes. This role drives operational performance by aligning strategy, people, and processes to meet business goals and customer expectations. The position plays a key role in optimizing productivity, controlling costs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Success requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to drive sustainable results across complex environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute manufacturing strategies that drive operational efficiency, cost performance, and growth
Lead safety, quality, and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance and a strong safety culture
Optimize production capacity, delivery performance, and overall plant productivity through data-driven decisions
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies to enhance processes and performance
Build and develop high-performing teams through talent development, engagement, and succession planning
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
8+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles within a plant environment or equivalent experience
Proven ability to lead operations, drive productivity improvements, and manage cost performance
Knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Experience managing operational metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Degree in engineering, operations management, or a related discipline
Experience in complex or process-driven manufacturing environments
Certification or experience in Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with ERP systems and quality management frameworks
