The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Planogram Designer to join our Visual Merchandising team in Langley, BC.  
 

Reporting to the Manager, Planogram Design, you will be responsible for partnering with Category Managers during the annual category review process to provide analysis and insights, helping to develop and update category planograms across all retail stores.
You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and presenting merchandising solutions to drive profitable sales and influence shopper behavior by market.

  • Analyzing competitors’ category techniques and market trends to introduce innovative concepts and ideas to Pattison Food Group.

  • Conducting analysis using space planning software.

  • Identifying optimal merchandising solutions, clustering strategies, product positioning, and space management for assigned categories.

  • Determining the correct product facings to ensure sufficient display capacity, optimizing customer satisfaction and sales.

  • Ensuring adherence to Pattison Food Group’s merchandising standards.

  • Clearly communicating merchandising strategies to educate teams, including category management, field teams, and store operations, or driving sales through best-in-class product presentation.

  • Reviewing and analyzing marketing data to integrate supplier ideas into high-quality planograms and display plans.

  • Creatively merchandising products and identifying sales opportunities to maximize sales.


You have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail organization.

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, merchandising, marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.

  • Grocery retail experience is considered an asset.

  • Proven experience in successfully creating and designing merchandising product displays.

  • A clear understanding of visual merchandising and category management concepts.

  • The ability to perform advanced analytics on space, category, assortment, item productivity and profitability.

  • Knowledge or experience with Blue Yonder or similar tools for category management, assortment optimization, space planning, and channel/store clustering is an asset.

  • Experience analyzing sales, market trends, demographics, customer shopping data, and competitor assessment data is considered an asset.

  • A valid driver's license and vehicle, with the ability to travel to store locations on an as-needed basis.

  • Capable of effectively influencing and interacting with all levels within the organization.

  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and written.

  • Organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

$65,120.00 - $81,400.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
