Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage design, implementation, and operation of tools that enable collection and reporting of supplemental data utilized in internal and external reporting
  • Manage design, implementation, and operation of company wide financial planning tool
  • Work closely with HQ and business finance teams to understand and implement requirements, tools and process that will deliver external reporting while also supporting internal reporting needs
  • Manage design of master data structures to promote systemic accounting and reporting; understanding integrations and relationships across various financial systems to promote strong wing to wing systemic capabilities from accounting to reporting
  • Create standard plan vs. actual reporting, which includes redesign of existing forms in both planning and supplemental data collection tools
  • Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
  • 8+ years accounting or finance experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Extensive experience working with Oracle EPM
  • Solid understand of USGAAP and statutory accounting principles with ability to translate accounting and reporting requirements to system solutions
  • Prior experience/ exposure working with GE’s financial/ operational processes and IT applications
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience leading large, complex projects that balance multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Adaptable/ Flexible: Ability to work beyond role boundaries or with uncertainty & fluid situations- able to embrace change in response to new information, unexpected or different circumstances and ambiguous situation

#LI-Remote - This is a remote position

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $107,600.00 and $179,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
