Planning Manager | Volkswagen Passenger Cars
Volkswagen Passenger Cars (VWPC) continues to define the Irish automotive landscape with our growing ID. BEV offering. 2026 brings milestone launches such as the all‑new T‑Roc and ID. Polo later this year, making it an exciting moment in our brand’s journey. To support our ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for an analytical, commercially-minded Planning Manager to join our Product & Planning team. Reporting to the Head of Product & Planning, this is a pivotal role responsible for driving the brand’s overall sales volume and mix strategy in close partnership with our Retailer Network and Volkswagen headquarters in Germany.
What You’ll Do
As Planning Manager, you will own and shape the brand’s end‑to‑end planning process, ensuring Volkswagen Ireland is positioned for sustainable success in a fast‑changing market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the short-, medium- and long‑term sales volume planning and forecasting process to support brand strategy
- Partner with the Supply Manager to maximise sales opportunities while proactively mitigating stocking risks, supported by detailed analysis and timely insights
- Collaborate with Product, Planning and Sales teams to ensure product proposals and business cases are underpinned by robust, data‑driven volume rationale
- Prepare and present performance reviews and insights to Leadership Teams across VWPC, VGIE and HQ, contributing to strong commercial and strategic decision‑making

- Automotive expertise: Strong commercial awareness and in‑depth knowledge of the Irish automotive industry. Previous experience in Planning, Sales or Product roles is essential
