We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and monitor the Contractor’s baseline programme, recovery programmes, and updated schedules.
• Review the Contractor’s programme to ensure it is logic-linked, resource-loaded, properly sequenced, and aligned with the project scope and contractual requirements.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved programme and identify delays, critical activities, and potential impacts on project completion.
• Prepare and review weekly and monthly progress reports, including planned vs. actual progress, key achievements, critical activities, and look-ahead programmes.
• Monitor the Contractor’s progress and verify reported quantities and progress against actual site status.
• Review and analyse the critical path, float, constraints, and programme logic and provide recommendations to mitigate delays.
• Prepare and review 2-week, 3-week, and 4-week look-ahead programmes as required.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, discipline engineers, inspectors, and Contractor’s planning team to obtain accurate progress information.
• Review Contractor’s recovery and mitigation programmes and assess their effectiveness in addressing delays.
• Monitor design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and authority approval activities and their interfaces.
• Identify programme risks, constraints, and potential delays and highlight them to the project management team.
• Assist in reviewing Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, delay events, and time-related claims, including programme impact and supporting analysis.
• Review and assess programme updates and time impact analyses submitted by the Contractor.
• Maintain and update project progress dashboards and key performance indicators.
• Prepare progress presentations and provide clear planning and schedule updates to the project management team and Client.
• Participate in progress, planning, and coordination meetings with the Contractor and project stakeholders.
• Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with project procedures, contractual requirements, and reporting standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 7+ Relevant experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure and construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Good understanding of baseline programmes, schedule updates, critical path analysis, resource loading, progress measurement, and delay analysis.
• Experience in reviewing Contractor programmes and progress reports.
• Experience with EOT, delay analysis, recovery programmes, and time impact analysis is preferred.
• UAE infrastructure project experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and Contractors.
