Key responsibilities: Is accountable for leading the planning output across assigned clients, ensuring the team delivers the agency’s planning philosophy consistently and at the highest standard. They shape integrated communications strategies and media plans that are designed to drive measurable business value, reframing media as an investment (not a cost) and identifying opportunities that improve effectiveness and profitability. The Planning Director is responsible for guiding and developing Planning Managers and Executives—setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and driving continuous improvement in planning craft, storytelling, and strategic rigor. They partner closely with analytics, data, and activation teams to interrogate data, develop actionable insights, and translate real-time performance and learning into better planning decisions. They also collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure the right capabilities, tools, and products are deployed on the right clients at the right time—delivering great work, strengthening client relationships, and supporting sustainable growth.
