Purpose of Job:

As Divergent scales our production operations to support larger vehicle volumes, we are developing focused tools in rapidly expanding production demands. This role will lead the implementation of key tools in managing production schedules, demand planning and capacity planning. 

To ensure success in this role, you should have a deep understanding of business management, production operations, a lean six-sigma background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams. 


Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:

1)Manage inventory level targets, reviewing line of balances, aligning demand supply signals and allocations, maintaining product master data and developing expertise in developing in-house systems and reports

2)Mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply by constructing and executing to a well thought out plan that fulfills the needs of the product

3)Execute material resource planning (MRP) planning messages for production parts

4)Be the “go to” resource for engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and new product introduction teams when make vs. buy, part setup, BOM, traceability requirements and lead times, etc.

5)Proactively update management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues

6)Execute MRP planning messages for production parts

7)Analyze supply data and report metrics

8)Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and government regulations

9)Act as subject matter expert on proprietary enterprise software systems and lead initiatives to improve feature sets and workflows

10)Develop conventions and process templates to drive standardization of planning effort


Work Environment:

Regular office environment, also frequent interaction with manufacturing operations. 


Requirements:


Education:

•Bachelor's degree in business management, process control management, or similar.


Licenses/Certificates:

•Preferred green belt in DfSS and/or lean Six Sigma. 


Experience:

•4-6 years' experience in part planning, process improvements and scheduling in the automotive or aerospace industry

•Ability to coordinate projects and lead multiple teams

•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

•Experience with computer aided manufacturing software


Skills:

•Use of JIRA software (preferred)

•Advanced knowledge of business management software

•Excellent analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills

•Report and procedure writing skills

•Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet company needs

•Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

•Urgency to complete and improve repeated tasks that will require expertise and attention to detail


Physical Demands:

•Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of time. 

•The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the office and warehouse to execute work efficiently

•The person in this position frequently communicates with his team and other teams that need testing to ensure smooth operation.
