Planning Assistant
Based at Noyon Lanka, Biyagama
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented individual to support planning operations through data analysis, reporting, capacity planning, and coordination with cross functional teams. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of planning data, monitoring operational performance, and supporting informed decision-making to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining planning schedules, reports, and operational data.
- Analyze production, demand, and operational data to support planning activities and decision making.
- Monitor planning KPIs and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement.
- Maintain and update planning data within SAP and other business systems.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure the timely availability of planning information and accurate execution of plans.
- Generate periodic and ad hoc reports to support operational and management requirements.
- Support demand, capacity, and resource planning activities to optimize operational performance.
- Assist in developing dashboards and data visualizations to improve visibility of planning performance.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of planning records, reports, and databases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data driven insights and recommendations.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in planning, operations, supply chain, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Data Science and Power BI will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Skills Required
