Job Description

About the Role:


Lead a team of supply chain professionals responsible for both logistics execution and integrated demand/supply planning to optimize network costs and ensure customer satisfaction.

Drive collaboration across sales, operations, and other functions to align short and medium, supply chain strategies with business objectives and day-to-day operation.

Ensure the successful execution of logistics and supply chain planning processes, delivering efficient operations while balancing service quality and cost.


Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that support revenue growth, optimize costs, and deliver the highest service levels to customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and planning teams to create short, medium, and long-term demand and supply forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the integrated demand, supply, and transport review process within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework, driving efficient planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee the continuous planning and optimization of the supply chain network, balancing service delivery with cost efficiencies.
  • Manage the coordination of cross-functional teams to improve planning capabilities, reduce operational costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in strategic supply chain projects, contributing to business and operational strategies that drive long-term success.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics and demand/supply planning professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure data integrity across logistics and planning processes, producing accurate reports and insights to support ongoing performance improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Significant logistics management experience, with exposure to demand and supply planning
  • Experience in retail or FMCG supply chain management
  • Strong ability to articulate data points into meaningful language and recommend strategies to optimise outcomes
  • Experience using JDA Planning Software for stock and production management
  • A strong continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to demonstrate programs of value delivery
  • A desire to take the lead in driving the supply chain function forward
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across all level
  • Proven tenacity with the ability to drive team to accomplish stretch goals
  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline
  • An understanding of the mechanics of logistics and supply chain, including network analysis and optimisation
