Duties & Responsibilities:

The Planner/Scheduler position is responsible for scheduling and monitoring production and capacity planning for manufacturing in support of customer demand. Key Interfaces: Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Program Manager, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Production Planning: Review Sales Orders, Capacity and Material requirements, Update Sales Order W/Promise & Schedule Date.
  • Sales Orders Management: Pull-ins, Pushouts, Release & Apply Holds & Reasons; Provide work in process status updates against demand commitments.
  • Monitoring & Documenting Sales Order Risks.
  • Capacity Management: Prepare & Monitor manufacturing schedules to balance and optimize factory workloads. Model various demand loads through manufacturing resources to determine bottlenecks, staffing requirements, and finished goods availability.
  • Work Order Management: Create and manage work orders for finished goods and sub-assemblies. Review work order variances during work order close process.
  • Determine and monitor material requirements. Track material availability to assure alignment to manufacturing requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Plan production builds using lot sizing, safety stock and strategic and consignment inventory guidelines. Monitor inventory levels and usage on key commonly used materials.
  • Revenue Management: Work with cross departmental functions to balance resources, customer requirements, and revenue goals. Provide advance notice on delivery and revenue risks.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong system proficiency with Oracle R12, OBIEE, Tableau, IBM Notes, TEAMS, and advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • APICS or ISM education/certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and collaborate with cross departmental functionalities easily and effectively. Strong team building skills.
  • Able to operate with undefined and non-traditional planning processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and Continuous improvement skills. Six Sigma &/or Continuous Improvement experience, education, or certification preferred.
