We’re looking for a super-organised Planners who are quick-thinking and versatile, proactive and can work as part of a team; the kind of person who can turn their hand to anything at a moment’s notice to ensure that employees have everything they need to do their jobs and that the company runs efficiently.

MPS has been caring for residents’ homes for over 25 years. As part of the Mears Group, we offer partnership solutions and expertise in estate management and property maintenance. Delivering a range of property services, including reactive repairs, planned and cyclical maintenance services to over 100 local authorities and housing providers nationwide.
We are now seeking 5 Planners to join our new Planning Team going forward with Planners based not only in our main Tonbridge branch, but also Orbit's area hubs; now in its twelfth year providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
About the Role:
You’ll need to be proactive and ready to tackle any challenges and respond with options or preferably a resolution. We're looking for a super organised individual who has experience in a fast paced Customer Service environment.
As a Planner, your main duties will include calling residents to book in appointments and planning operatives’ diaries. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining PDA (personal digital assistant) control allocation and will monitor daily work volumes ensuring efficient use of resources to meet turnaround timescales. As well as this, whilst ensuring employees always have the workload to allow them to perform to an optimum level, you will also provide supporting information on operative performance levels.
Role Criteria:
- Ability to investigate, evaluate and respond to situations quickly
- Decisive-Make effective decisions based on objective assessment of situations
- Able to multitask-Control multiple processes simultaneously to share good practice
- Good IT knowledge, IT Literate
- Proven ability to prioritise own workload
- Great Customer Service- Confident on the phone with a good telephone manner
- Knowledge/experience of Direct Scheduling System (used commonly by councils)
- General knowledge of the construction industry
- Great organisational skills
