We are looking for a Planner (Maintenance Scheduler) to join our site services team. This role will be residentially based at Gove, NT. The position is responsible for developing, reviewing and maintaining planned and preventative maintenance schedules that enable safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Working closely with planners, maintenance teams and operational stakeholders, you will coordinate maintenance activities, optimise resource utilisation, maintain CMMS data integrity and support continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career maintenance, planning or reliability professional looking to develop their capability within a structured asset management environment.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Site Services Superintendent, you will:

• Develop, review and maintain preventative and planned maintenance schedules
• Coordinate maintenance activities to optimise resource utilisation and operational efficiency
• Ensure maintenance schedules comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
• Support the effective execution of maintenance plans by providing accurate and achievable work schedules
• Maintain schedule and asset information within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Collect, analyse and report on work management and scheduling data
• Identify opportunities to improve scheduling effectiveness, work management processes and asset performance
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations and planning teams to support business objectives

What you'll bring

You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, systems and stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes.

You will also have:

• Experience in maintenance, planning, scheduling, reliability or operational environments
• Strong organisational, coordination and time management skills
• Experience using CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, Pronto or similar systems
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience will be highly regarded

Where you'll be working

Our Gove Operations have been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for over 40 years. Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, the operation produces approximately 12 million tonnes of bauxite annually.

With a dedicated workforce of 460 people, our daily activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, shutdown planning and execution, export operations, cultural heritage management, and closure activities following the decision to close the site’s alumina refinery and associated Residue Disposal Area in 2017.

We anticipate that our bauxite mining operations on the Gove Peninsula will cease in 2030. We are undertaking significant efforts to support the closure of the operation. We also recognize that our operations take place on Indigenous-owned land, and we are committed to working together to achieve a positive future for Nhulunbuy and the Gove Peninsula post-mining.
