Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join the Starline Team. This position reports to Reading, UK. The Planner is responsible for the day-to-day planning, scheduling to support customer orders. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders to establish due dates to meet customers’ needs. This position will interact heavily with peers in the planning group as well as the production floor to optimize production output. This position provides support to all business areas of Starline and is a key driver for the organization’s customer focus values.
ResponsibilitiesWhat Will You Do?
Main Job Duties:
- Upon Customer Order (CO) entry, utilize SyteLine (ERP) to identify order constraints; expedite constraints where possible
- Work with Production and Supply Chain to systematically prioritize and execute production requirements
- Release production job orders for assigned categories to satisfy customer requirements and optimize efficiency.
- Export Bill of Material (BoM) for potential CO and identify potential long lead time components and provide estimated lead time.
- Communicate daily order status, priorities and schedule changes to internal stakeholders
- Identify orders projecting late in SyteLine (ERP) and utilize the system to determine root cause and work with key stakeholders to expedite and ensure orders are aligned to due date
- Understand the manufacturing process and BoM thoroughly, and have reasonable expectations as to what can be accomplished in a certain timeframe
- Evaluate production load against available capacity to make changes in scheduling as needed
- Establishes inventory requirements by studying manufacturing history and production forecasts; understand sub-components and establishes safety stock levels as appropriate.
- Follow-up on acknowledgements and open purchase order reports to eliminate bottlenecks

Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s Degree or relevant work related experience
Project Management experience preferred
Experience:
- 3+ years of planning experience within an ERP system (SyteLine and SAP preferred)
- Experience in a manufacturing, assembly and/or discrete manufacturing environment
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Ability to apply use of ERP software and an understanding of items, Bills of Material, routings, planning parameters, production orders, labor collection, inventory consumption, output, extracting data, reporting and troubleshooting
- Basic ability to conduct root cause analysis and effectively report on results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Willing and able to occasionally work various schedules and shifts as assigned
