Position Summary
The Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining demand forecasts, supply plans, and inventory strategies to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory levels. This role works closely with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to balance customer demand, supply capacity, and inventory performance, ensuring high service levels and efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on sales trends, market intelligence, customer requirements, and historical data.
- Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to improve forecast accuracy and demand visibility.
- Monitor forecast performance and recommend corrective actions to address forecast variances.
- Maintain demand planning parameters and forecast data in SAP.
Supply Planning
- Create and execute supply plans to ensure product availability while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure the timely replenishment of inventory.
- Monitor material availability and supply risks, proactively identifying and resolving potential shortages.
- Review inventory targets and recommend actions to balance supply, demand, and inventory investment.
Inventory Management
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, and near-expiry inventory and work with Sales teams to drive inventory reduction initiatives.
- Analyze inventory performance and recommend actions to improve inventory turnover and minimize obsolescence.
- Support inventory optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Order & Logistics Coordination
- Create and manage stock transfer plans and transfer orders between warehouses.
- Maintain warehouse transfer parameters and master data in SAP.
- Track purchase orders and direct shipment orders to ensure on-time delivery and achievement of OTIF (On Time In Full) targets.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure efficient material movement.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular supply chain reports, KPI analyses, and planning dashboards.
- Analyze demand, supply, inventory, and service level performance to support business decision-making.
- Provide planning insights and recommendations to improve supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain Planning.
- Experience working with SAP ERP systems and planning tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
