Are you an experienced Planner with a strong track record in programme planning and scheduling on major infrastructure projects? You will play a key role in developing, managing and monitoring project programmes across nationally significant D&B infrastructure projects in Ireland including metro, aviation, rail, water and highway schemes.

Your new role 
As Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of project schedules across major infrastructure projects in Ireland. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams to ensure robust, integrated programmes are in place and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. 

You will contribute to programme controls, providing accurate reporting and analysis to support decision-making and ensure projects are delivered on time and in line with key milestones. 

Working pattern 
Hybrid role requiring office and site attendance as required, with a majority of projects delivered in and around Dublin. 

Your key responsibilities will be:  

  • Developing, maintaining and updating detailed project programmes and schedules 

  • Supporting the integration of design, procurement and construction activities into coherent, deliverable plans 

  • Monitoring project progress and performance against baseline programmes 

  • Identifying programme risks, delays and critical path impacts, and supporting mitigation strategies 

  • Producing programme reports, dashboards and progress updates for project teams and stakeholders 

  • Supporting change management processes, including assessment of programme impacts 

  • Assisting in the development of programme controls, governance and reporting frameworks 

  • Reviewing contractor programmes and ensuring alignment with project requirements 

  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure realistic planning assumptions and sequencing 

  • Contributing to scenario planning, what-if analysis and recovery planning where required 

  • Supporting the implementation of planning best practices, tools and systems 

About you  

  • Experience in a planning or scheduling role on major infrastructure or construction projects (e.g. metro, aviation, rail, water and highways schemes) 

  • Strong understanding of programme planning principles, scheduling techniques and project controls 

  • Extensive experience using various planning softwares (e.g. Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or equivalent) 

  • Ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules across multiple phases 

  • Understanding of critical path analysis, progress measurement and programme reporting 

  • Experience reviewing contractor programmes and assessing impacts of change 

  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret programme data and identify risks and opportunities 

  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams 

  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment 

  • Degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
