The Role

The Carbon Robotics LaserWeeder™ leverages advanced robotics, computer vision, AI/deep learning, and lasers to eliminate weeds with sub-millimeter accuracy—all without herbicides. This innovative solution reduces environmental impact, promotes soil health, and helps farmers address labor shortages and rising costs. Designed in Seattle and built at our cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Richland, Washington, the LaserWeeder is setting a new standard for automated weed control. We are looking for a Planner, Supply & Demand to own the demand planning process and drive implementation and continuous improvement of our MRP/ERP planning tools. This role will balance long-term forecasting with hands-on execution in purchasing, supply planning, and inventory management to ensure Carbon Robotics can scale effectively and meet customer needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning & MRP Ownership (50%)
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts to include using sales input, historical data, and product roadmaps.
  • Implement and refine MRP/ERP planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, min/max).
  • Own forecast accuracy reporting and drive continuous improvement in forecast bias
  • Translate demand into supply requirements and capacity needs.
  • Act as the super-user for planning modules, supporting process development and system refinement.
  • Lead the demand planning/S&OP cadence with cross-functional partners (Sales, Product, Finance, Operations).
Inventory & Supply Planning (30%)
  • Monitor inventory health (excess, obsolescence, shortages) and propose corrective actions.
  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle count program.
  • Recommend adjustments to safety stock and min/max levels to balance service vs. cost.
  • Partner with operations to align build schedules with material availability.
Analytics & Cross-Functional Support (20%)
  • Build and maintain dashboards/KPIs: forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns.
  • Partner with Finance to align demand forecasts with revenue outlooks and cash flow planning.
  • Support new product introductions by aligning demand signals with purchasing and supply readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning, procurement, and supply chain processes.
Purchasing & Supplier Management 
  • Convert MRP outputs into purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Manage vendor confirmations, lead times, and expedite requests.
  • Support supplier qualification and onboarding for new components and services.
  • Track supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness).
Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or procurement (manufacturing or hardware preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Operations.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a process-oriented mindset.

Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted.  The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.

Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:
$92,000$115,000 USD
