The Planner Mfg is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed product schedules, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure timely production and material availability, and developing capacity planning methodologies.

Operational Planning
- Create, own and maintain an up to date detailed level Schedule for Products from baseline engineering timings to pack & ship.
- Pulling of information from various departments to aid in the creation of detailed schedules.
- Creation of machine level schedules to aid production with priority lists and targets.
- Liaise with the Bill Of Materials (BOM) Specialists to confirm machine timings and routings.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Production to ensure the SIOP cycle is timely, efficient and effective.
- Assess impact to materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan
- Creation of recovery schedules in the event of missed deadlines to ensure material is still available for customers on the requirement date.
- Fully knowledgeable on productions and the facility where the opportunities exist to create recovery plans where necessary
- Release of shop orders to the production floor in a timely fashion in line with production schedules.
- Liaise with CSG / Project Managers regarding status of orders throughout its life cycle.
- Assist the SIOP Manager with ensuring ‘on time delivery’ of orders.
- Develop a close working relationships and information flow between various departments throughout the company.
- Takes actions daily to check, verify and confirm the key milestones can be still be achieved, including but not limited to; delivery of material, facility workload, test and packing restrictions.
Capacity Planning
- Aid in the development of Capacity planning methodologies with the SIOP Manager. Once established take on the daily maintenance of capacity plans.
- Maintain capacity planning within the ERP/MRP systems
ERP/MRP
- Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies.
- Updates to the local ERP/MRP system with production schedule dates and expected lead times.
General
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Creation of picking lists in line with production plans to ensure product moves effectively though out the process
- Participate in special projects for continuous improvement
- Job holder will often need to make judgements based on partial information / best judgement with information available.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 experience of working within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Process background preferred.
- Strong persuasion and high levels of confidence.
- High level of resilience – experience of working at the frontend of business responding to daily issues and changes in short time frames.
