Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree and five (5) years’ experience in document and compliance functions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) certification preferred.
- Familiarity with ASC Plan Document system and DGEM document generation platform preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must understand key plan design, compliance, and fiduciary role-related topics with respect to 401(k) and 403(b) Plans.
- Knowledgeable about the retirement plan industry and applicable ERISA regulations.
- Ability to effectively develop and deliver communications to a wide variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to read / interpret technical documents and instructions such as retirement adoption agreements, procedure manuals, and government instructions and compliance guidance.
- Strong attention to detail and professional interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in creating routine reports, correspondence, and business communications.
- Capable of addressing practical problems and adapting to non-standardized situations.
- Ability to articulate document provisions to internal and external clients.
- Ability to work and think independently.
- Ability to critically analyze information and make sound judgements.
Tasks Performed:
- 70%: Maps plan document provisions for newly converted plans and offers recommended changes. Prepares necessary plan restatements and amendments. Acts as a lead for production of participant and plan notices including Safe Harbor and Automatic Enrollment.
- 15%: Assists with compliance support functions related tasks including balance forward plan activities.
- 10%: Serves as an internal resource for document-related questions with respect to plan operation/administration.
- 5%: Provides recommendations for system enhancements that pertain to plan document and compliance testing preparation.
