Job Description:
Job Title – Plan Consultant - Implementation
Job is to support Project Managers and work through legal documents to onboard new clients successfully on Fidelity system by working with clients (on calls) and multiple stake holders within Implementations.
The Purpose of This Role
The Plan Consultant (PC) reviews plan documents, identifies potential issues, and recommends their resolution, and works through plan, product and service exceptions. Plan Consultant works on generating legal documents (SA, AA, PDH), walking them through Client on a Plan design call and execute Final documents for clients review and sign off. The PC supports WI core markets and partners closely with Plan document Specialists, Legal, Implementation Project Management, Client Relationship Management, and Sales groups to ensure successful completion of Implementations on core market plan on Fidelity system. To be successful in this role, good domain knowledge is vital. Also having superior client facing skills which include listening, communication, collaboration, adapting, and properly assessing client needs is highly critical.

Provide Subject Matter Expertise on Plan Provisions and legal documents and ensure timely delivery of high impact project milestones to create a seamless and successful transition to the ongoing support teams.

Work with various stakeholders to ensure smooth Client onboarding on Fidelity systems.

Creation of contractual documents for Client review and signature.

Perform root cause analysis and resolution to complex problem.

Identify process improvement opportunities and partner across teams to lead initiatives designed to reduce risk and improve efficiency and quality.

Meet and exceed all business goals – Internal and External Service Level Agreements

Solid understanding of Fidelity’s End to End business process life cycle and a strong knowledge of data process flows, plan level provisions, and Fidelity recordkeeping processes.

You should have Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.

Strong knowledge of ERISA and the qualified plan rules under the Internal Revenue Code

Superior Client facing capabilities to areas such as consulting with the client, appropriate assessment of client needs, understanding client needs, and application within the Volume Submitter framework.

Good understanding of Plan level services its functionality and behavior

Draws logical conclusions for the requirements submitted and presents conclusions and recommendations clearly.

How Your Work Impacts the Organization
Your role is very critical within the Implementation life cycle since you will be working with multiple stakeholders ensuring there is a smooth transition of the client on to Fidelity record keeping system. This involves generating notices, providing directions to downstream teams around Plan setup and preparing drafts on Conversion strategies around getting Assets.
BU Overview
The Defined Contribution (DC) Implementation is an important arm of DC – Operations, that is primarily responsible for on-boarding of clients to Fidelity platform and on-going maintenance of DC plans. The team offers variety of services to its clients through re/configuration of plans, quality assurance, contract amendment, asset movement and liquidation etc. It also supports client consultation to plan sponsors/advisors or designated plan administrators in helping them move data/liquidate assets by being a part of the global team model.
