A Career with Point72’s Operations Team
The P&L Reconciliation & Analysis team is a control function within Operations that ensures the P&L between our front office systems (Panorama, Murex, and the Grid) matches our books and records system (Geneva) for all portfolios. P&L variances are monitored on a daily, monthly, and annual basis and must be resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
What you’ll do
- Perform daily and monthly P&L reconciliations between front office and back office systems for the firm’s portfolios
- Work with middle office back office, and the Valuations teams to resolve P&L breaks for equities, fixed income, and derivatives trades
- Generate daily P&L variance reports
- Finalize Portfolio Manager’s P&L in our Front Office systems based on P&L variance checks, calculation and analysis, impacting further decision making, investor statement and compensation process
- Assist in responding to P&L queries from our PMs, traders, and Investment Services colleagues
- Participate in continuous improvement of the team’s processes via automation and/or identifying and correcting process inefficiencies
What’s REQUIRED
- Finance/Business/Economics/Mathematics or related background
- 0-2 years experiences in product control or operations at a hedge fund or bank
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills
- A “team-first” attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment
- High attention to detail aimed at delivering a product that meets our best-in-class standards
- Knowledge of financial instruments
- Previous experience with business intelligence tools or process automation
