What this role is all about
Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; sells coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; prepares and serves a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
What you’ll be doing
Key Job Functions
- Welcomes and greets every customer as they enter the outlet
- Determine customer needs and appropriately suggest product with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals
- Follows Sonesta Service standards with every guest interaction
- Prepares PJ's Coffee Cafe beverages according to standards in F&B SOP Manual
- Follows store policy and procedures for operational flow
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Itemizes and totals check for service or totals takeout transaction on cash register and accepts payment
- Follows Hotel's cash handling procedures and cash register policies
- Stocks and replenishes merchandise and rotates stock
- Performs cleaning tasks as assigned in daily opening and/or closing duties to maintain cleanliness standards
- Maximize revenue and contribute to store sales goals by reducing waste and improving profits
- Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions
- Build solid relationship with your Colleagues

- Treats people with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises 3-5 employees
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the coffee shop
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems
