Pipeline Team Leader, Histology

Quotient Therapeutics, Inc. is a privately held, early-stage company developing a novel genomics platform and therapeutics for diseases with a large unmet need.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Pipeline Team Leader in Histology to join our passionate team. The candidate will work closely with scientists to advance multiple aspects of our R&D programs at Quotient Therapeutics. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to thrive in a fast-paced, action-oriented team environment whilst leading a team of research associates to carry out routine analysis of samples. The individual will have demonstrated evidence of agility and nimbleness to progress scientific discoveries, and an overt attitude of positivity when facing challenges. The candidate will be dedicated to develop and grow outside their comfort zone by constantly learning.

This role is based in the vicinity of Cambridge UK and will be in-person. All applicants will require permission to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Drive scientific efforts by processing samples alongside Research Associates and Scientists in the laboratory
• Perform sample processing including sample fixation, embedding, sectioning and staining.
• Line manage a small team of Research Associates, ensuring they maintain high-throughput and quality of data.
• Support the implementation of novel target discovery platforms, protocols, and other assays
• Advise on ways to increase efficiency in lab processing
• Collaborate and communicate with other team members across various functional areas

Key Skills and Experiences: 

• BS or MS degree in biochemistry, molecular or microbiology, or related field
• Minimum BS and relevant experience.
• Hands on experience in histology processes, embedding, sectioning, and staining, are required.
• Knowledge and experience of working under HTA regulations.
• Experience of troubleshooting histology processes is highly preferred.
