Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Oil and gas company seeking a competent, detailed oriented ,experienced Pipeline Engineer to  design, manage operation, and maintenance support of oil and gas pipeline systems.

The ideal candidate would be will be responsible for the design, engineering, integrity management, operation, and maintenance support of oil and gas pipeline systems. The role involves developing pipeline engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements, supporting pipeline projects, and optimizing the safety, reliability, and performance of pipeline assets.


The Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop pipeline systems for onshore and offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Perform pipeline hydraulic calculations, sizing, pressure-drop analysis, and flow assurance assessments.
  • Prepare and review pipeline engineering specifications, drawings, datasheets, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Conduct pipeline route studies, alignment reviews, and engineering assessments.
  • Support the selection of pipeline materials, valves, fittings, coatings, and associated equipment.
  • Perform pipeline integrity assessments, including corrosion, erosion, fatigue, and mechanical integrity evaluations.
  • Support pipeline inspection, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation activities.
  • Review and assess pipeline inspection data, including intelligent pigging (ILI) results and other inspection techniques.
  • Ensure pipeline designs comply with relevant standards, codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements such as ASME, API, DNV, ISO, and applicable local regulations.
  • Provide technical support during pipeline construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with approved engineering designs, quality requirements, schedules, and budgets.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, risk assessments, design reviews, and other technical safety studies.
  • Liaise with process, mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, electrical, and project teams to ensure effective engineering integration.
  • Review contractor and vendor technical submissions and provide engineering comments and recommendations.
  • Identify technical risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Support troubleshooting of pipeline operational and performance issues.
  • Prepare technical presentations, engineering reports, procedures, and project documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other project team members.
  • Ensure all engineering activities are conducted in accordance with company HSE policies and industry best practices.




Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Typically 10–20+ years of relevant pipeline engineering experience, depending on the seniority of the position.
  • Experience in upstream, midstream, downstream, or pipeline infrastructure projects within the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience with pipeline design, construction, commissioning, integrity management, or operational support is highly desirable.
  • Professional engineering certification or membership of a recognized engineering body is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in pipeline engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline design, integrity management, construction, inspection, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with applicable pipeline codes and standards, including ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API, DNV, and ISO standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and pipeline analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and technical reporting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and risk management principles.


Skills Required
