Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute shutdown and turnaround piping scopes, including maintenance, repairs, replacements, and system tie-ins
  • Perform line breaks, flange management, bolt-up, and valve work in accordance with outage schedules
  • Interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and work packages to complete assigned tasks safely and accurately
  • Support critical path activities, adapting to changing priorities in a time-sensitive environment
  • Work within strict permit, isolation, and LOTO procedures to ensure safe execution
  • Maintain high productivity and quality during extended shifts and compressed timelines
  • Participate in FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety programs while contributing to a strong safety culture
  • Collaborate effectively within a large, multi-trade shutdown workforce

Qualifications:

  • Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Pipefitter certification
  • Proven experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage maintenance in oil & gas or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs
  • Experience working on time-sensitive, schedule-driven projects with shifting priorities
  • Ability to work 10–12+ hour shifts, overtime, and consecutive days during shutdowns
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Base Wage: $31.52 to $52.53/hour (per existing CLAC agreement and applicable trade verification)
  • Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours/week
  • Schedule: 24 days on / 4 days off or 6 days on / 1 day off
  • Hours: 12 hours/day
  • Camp accommodation provided
  • Flights from Edmonton or Calgary
  • CLAC Benefits & Pension
