Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training
- 3 years of pipe fitting required
- 3-5 years of experience working in an manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and use math skills
- Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
- Must be able to work as a team
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints.
- Assemble or secure pipes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding.
- Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
- Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment, using hand or power tools.
- Knowledge of API 1104 and ASME weldments highly desirable
- Use advanced math including trigonometry
