About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grade 3 Physiotherapist to co-lead our Orthopaedic stream (Wednesday–Saturday) in partnership with the existing stream leader (Monday–Tuesday).

Work hours:

  • Wednesday–Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm

  • Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm

This role combines advanced clinical practice with leadership across orthopaedic, neurosurgical and emergency department services.

You will deliver evidence-based care across elective and traumatic orthopaedics, paediatric orthopaedics, spinal neurosurgery, fast-track surgical pathways, preadmission clinic, and ED presentations.

Based primarily at Malvern, you will also provide leadership support at Brighton and supervise Grade 1 and 2 physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced, evidence-based physiotherapy care across acute orthopaedics, neurosurgery and ED

  • Lead initiatives that support efficient discharge planning and improved bed flow

  • Engage and collaborate with orthopaedic and neurosurgical surgeons

  • Develop, review and implement clinical protocols

  • Provide supervision, mentoring and on-site support to junior physiotherapists, AHAs and students

About You

We are seeking a motivated senior physiotherapist with substantial experience in acute orthopaedics who is committed to excellence in patient-centred care.

You will demonstrate:

  • A recognised Physiotherapy qualification

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist

  • Advanced clinical experience in orthopaedics, neurosurgery and emergency settings

  • Strong leadership, communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills

  • Flexibility to work across Cabrini sites and weekend services as required
