Gaudenzia's Mission: Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances.


Education/Training:

  • MD or DO required. Board certification in Addiction Medicine preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records required
  • Individual Professional Liability insurance required
  • PT contract position – Up to 25 hours per week
  • Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
  • Valid Pennsylvania PROMISE number
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience; Work experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred 

Your responsibilities in this role include: 

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
  • Assess and manage patients’ primary and acute care needs and make referrals to specialized care as needed
  • Promotes the utilization of all types of medication assisted treatment (MAT), Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MAOD)/Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (MAUD)
  • Work a minimum of 3 days a week; in-person availability required
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
  • Order and monitor medication and medical care for clients as needed and provide written authorization
