Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role will provide both clinical and surgical support in collaboration with our ENT physicians. This role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, in-office procedures, and opportunities for first assist in the operating room, depending on experience and interest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history-taking and physical exams.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of ear, nose, throat, and head & neck conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging and labs.
- Perform in-office procedures such as flexible laryngoscopy, ear debridement, nasal endoscopy, and minor skin lesion removals.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, patient education, and ongoing follow-up.
- Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in surgical procedures in both the hospital and outpatient settings (optional/if applicable).
- Collaborate closely with physicians, audiologists, nurses, and other support staff.
- Participate in call coverage rotation (clinic only; no hospital call).
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the NCCPA.
- Active and unrestricted Ohio PA license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Previous experience in ENT or surgical specialties preferred, but new graduates with strong interest in otolaryngology are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Skills Required
