Summary/Objective
The Physician Liaison serves as the primary relationship manager between US Digestive Health and referring providers throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. This field-based role focuses on developing referral relationships, increasing awareness of US Digestive Health providers and services, improving provider satisfaction, and supporting growth initiatives across the region.
Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with referring providers, practice administrators, office managers, and clinical staff to increase awareness, utilization and referral activity of US Digestive Health services.
- Conduct regular provider outreach visits to educate referral sources on US Digestive Health providers, clinical services, access pathways, and patient care resources.
- Analyze referral patterns, market opportunities and provider engagement data to identify growth opportunities and execute outreach strategies that increase referral volume.
- Serve as the primary liaison between referral sources and US Digestive Health locations, facilitating communication and resolving operational or patient access concerns.
- Investigate and manage service recovery opportunities, ensuring timely resolution of provider and patient concerns and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Coordinate educational programs, community outreach events, lunch-and-learns, and other marketing initiatives to strengthen referral relationships.
- Monitor competitive activity, market conditions, and referral patterns and communicate actionable insights to leadership.
- Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities, referral intelligence, and provider interactions; prepare regular reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with physicians, practice managers, operations leaders, and clinical staff to improve referral processes and enhance the overall referral experience.

- Working knowledge of medical terminology, medications, & ICD-10 codes.
- Ability to work consultatively with practice managers, physicians, and clinical staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Work Environment
This position may be located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, or at the individual office location based on the needs of the practice.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday. No weekends are required.
Travel
Field-based position requiring daily travel throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. Limited overnight travel may be required. Geography may be expanded in the future. Reliable transportation is required.
OSHA Exposure Level
Low risk, no expectation of exposure to blood/body fluids.

Requirements
Education and Experience
Healthcare background and/or experience. Specialty provider experience a plus.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and significant experience in the health care or pharmaceutical sales field
Nursing credentials preferred
Physician liaison or provider relations experience preferred
Healthcare business development or healthcare sales preferred
Demonstrated success developing referral relationships and growing provider engagement preferred
Skills Required
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
