RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Obtains, evaluates, and records medical histories
  • Performs physical examinations
  • Orders necessary testing for routine and acute health care evaluations
  • Collects specimens, when necessary, for pathologic examinations
  • Analyzes and interprets data, formulates problem lists, and establishes appropriate plans for the management of clinical problems
  • Initiates necessary consults to specialists and other health care professionals
  • Counsels and educates patients on health-related matters
  • Provide management for acute and chronic illnesses
  • Prescribes necessary medications, as authorized by law.
  • Provides consultative services to the Health Services Administrator and designees on patient health-related issues   
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required
  • Current, valid Physician Assistant licensure in the applicable state required
  • Must meet all state and regulatory requirements governing the practice of a Physician Assistant
  • Prior clinical experience in a primary care, specialty, or institutional healthcare setting preferred

peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Skills Required

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current, valid Physician Assistant license in the applicable state
  • Meet all state and regulatory requirements governing Physician Assistant practice
  • Prior clinical experience in primary care, specialty, or institutional healthcare
