Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Assign and supervise the Physical Therapy Assistant’s patient care activities
  • Assign and supervise the Rehab Technician’s on-patient activities
  • Determine the necessary PT based on prescriptions/referrals/patient condition/records
  • Review patient records and create/carry out treatment plans
  • Oversee all assistant, technician, and student job assignments and activities
  • Give lectures, provide PT and related training for in-house staff and outside groups
  • Provide analytics and organizational oversight for the facility
  • Assistance with payroll, filing, requisitions, and other duties as assigned
  • Delegate appropriate patient care activities to the PTA in accordance with skill level
  • Review physician's referrals and patient medical records/condition to determine PT treatment
  • Evaluate and record the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit
  • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on PT and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups

Successful Candidates Must Have:

  • Master of Physical Therapy degree (MPT) or in the process of obtaining
  • Current state licensure issued by the NC Board of Physical Therapy or in the process of obtaining
  • Experience with EMR preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and coding preferred

Skills Required

  • Master of Physical Therapy degree or currently pursuing the degree
  • Current North Carolina physical therapy license or currently obtaining licensure
  • Experience with electronic medical records
