As a Physical Design Engineer, a typical day involves transforming logical circuit schematics into detailed physical layouts while focusing on optimizing critical factors such as area, power consumption, and timing performance. The role requires performing intricate tasks including placement of circuit components, routing interconnections, and synthesizing clock trees to ensure the design adheres to stringent timing and manufacturing requirements. Collaboration with timing analysis and verification teams is essential to identify and resolve any physical design challenges prior to the final tape-out stage, ensuring a seamless transition from design to production. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous coordination across multiple disciplines to achieve high-quality design outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to foster professional growth and skill development.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to address design challenges and implement innovative solutions.
- Support junior team members by providing clear direction and assistance in their tasks.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Physical Design.
- Strong expertise in placement and routing methodologies to optimize circuit layouts.
- In-depth understanding of clock tree synthesis and timing closure techniques.
- Experience working with design for manufacturability and design rule checks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with timing analysis and verification teams to resolve design issues.
- Familiarity with physical verification tools and methodologies to ensure design integrity.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Physical Design.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
