What you'll do:
- Leading PHY activities from feature development to integration.
- Focal point for all PHY and RF-related aspects.
- Defining and writing system-level requirements.
- Continuously optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to enhance the performance and efficiency of base-station products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PHY components with software, digital signal processing (DSP), and other subsystems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the PHY team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Hands-on Lab work
What you should have:
- 2-3 years of experience in wireless communication/ PHY layer development or integration.
- Good understanding of RX and TX PHY and RF chains.
- Deep understanding of Wireless communication systems.
- Working experience with RF lab test equipment
- Solid experience with scripting language (such as MATLAB or Python)
- Very good system-level understanding within a multi-disciplinary environment (HW, SW, RF)
- Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English (written and verbal), team player and ability to thrive in a global multi-site environment.
Nice to have:
- Involvement in research and development projects related to emerging wireless technologies, such as Massive MIMO and beamforming
- Solid knowledge in the physical layer specifications of 4G/5G
- Solid experience with programming languages
- Solid experience with Linux operating system
