Are you a PHP developer with a passion for automation and software? We have a great opportunity on our Neo team building veterinary software.  

This role will also have a focus on troubleshooting, bug fixing and integration work for the Neo team. We’re especially looking for someone curious, with previous experience in automation who will be able to drive this in our team.  Currently we are light on the automation side so someone passionate about establishing this and upskilling others is a must!  

This role can be hybrid onsite at our Westbrook, Maine office. We are also open to this position being fully remote.

A bit more about the role, you will:  

  • You will design, code, test, debug and document programs based on technical configurations developed by analysts and project teams. Estimates and tracks time required to complete work, for project budgeting and financial tracking.  

  • You will develop program designs to meet technical configurations, ensuring that resulting systems will operate efficiently and reliably. Understanding business function supported by the application to encompass within design framework. Ensureing design integrates with other related systems.  

  • You will code programs using various programming languages as appropriate 

  • You will test and debug programs to finalize and ensure smooth operation.  

  • You will document program design, coding and other details to guide others in application development, use and maintenance.  

  • You will support, update and maintain existing systems in response to business needs, system problems or other factors. Coordinating with project teams to design, code, test and document system changes.  

  • You will coordinate with project team members to define application requirements. Identifying business needs, assessing available technologies and developing and presenting solutions.  

  • You will provide high level of customer service, partner with end users in the resolution of problems or in deployment of new applications.  

  • You may design system architectures. 

 

So what are we looking for?  

  • 4+ years of Experience with PHP. 

  • Experience with Angular.   

  • Experience with test automation framework  

  • Confident working in Amazon  

  • A baseline knowledge of JavaScript/ Typescript  

  • Familiarity with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).  

  • Ability to leverage technology background and understanding of latest technologies to apply to development work.  

  • Understanding of procedural and object oriented design.  

  • Excellent problem solving and project management skills  

  • Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills and ability to work independently and in teams.  

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences (both as a speaker and listener). 

What you can expect from us:

  • Salary of $90,000-$120,000
