Company Description:
Farm to People is an online farmers market grocery delivery service specializing in sustainably-sourced, local, fresh produce and artisanally produced foods. Our customers can subscribe to a series of curated Farm Boxes or choose to shop à la carte. We deliver 7 days per week and are expanding in the NYC market. Our mission is to provide an ethical marketplace where people can know where their food is coming from. We are a tight-knit and inclusive team full of passionate foodies.
About the Role:
We're looking for a full-time Photo & Video Content Creator to own the photo and video output of the brand. We're a small but growing marketing team where everyone wears many hats. You'll work across a range of shoots and platforms, and no two weeks will look exactly the same. As the team scales, there's real opportunity to deepen your focus and grow within your area of expertise.
This is a hands-on role for a camera-first storyteller with a sharp eye for food, light, and detail. You're behind the camera, directing the shot, and delivering the final edit. You bring strong craft, a consistent aesthetic, and the resourcefulness to figure things out as we grow.
This role reports to the Chief Brand Officer and works closely with the Brand Designer and the broader marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Photography
- Lead all photo production end-to-end: planning, styling, shooting, and editing
- Shoot across a range of contexts: farm visits, product flats, recipe content, pop-ups, events, and lifestyle
- Style food and props for shoots that feel natural, seasonal, and on-brand
- Deliver edited, ready-to-use images for social, email, web, and paid
Video Production
- Lead all video production end-to-end: concept, shooting, directing, and editing
- Produce platform-native video content for Instagram, TikTok, and paid channels: reels, stories, ads, and beyond
- Capture the people behind our food: farmers, producers, customers, and our team
- Cut multiple versions and formats from each shoot to get the most out of every production day
Content & Creative Execution
- Stay current on platform formats and trends, bringing fresh content ideas consistently
- Plan and manage a shoot calendar aligned with campaigns, seasonal product, and partnerships
- Assist in writing creative briefs and shot lists for campaigns, partnerships, and special projects
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, and ops to ensure content is aligned with broader goals and timelines
Systems & Asset Management
- Build and maintain a photo and video library the whole team can pull from
- Create clear file structures, naming conventions, and handoff processes so assets are easy to find and use
Tools & Innovation
- Actively research new tools, technologies, and AI-powered workflows that can increase content output and efficiency
- Bring recommendations to the team and implement where it makes sense
What We're Looking For:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in photography, video production, or content creation
- Strong, demonstrable photography skills: lighting, composition, editing
- Strong video production skills: shooting, directing, and editing across formats and platforms
- An eye for food styling and lifestyle shoot compositions
- Experience creating content for both social and paid channels
- Proficiency in Lightroom, Premiere Pro or similar editing tools, and mobile-first editing apps
- Comfortable shooting on location, often on farms and at events
- Detail-oriented with an ultra-creative approach to problem solving
- Highly organized with a systems-thinking mindset
- Curious about new tools and proactive about bringing them into your workflow
- Genuine interest in food, farming, and the people behind what we eat
- Excellent time management, planning and organizing skills and has the ability to multitask
Preferred Experience and Character:
- Passion for local farming and NYC food scene
- Basic graphic design skills a plus
