Under general supervision, the Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory duties, including specimen collection, processing, and waived testing. This position requires excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Schedule - A 40-hour work week. Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00 pm
Location: 33758 Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa, CA 92399
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Obtain blood specimens by skin puncture, venipuncture in patient populations ranging from newborn, pediatric to adult and geriatric
  • Follow all laboratory procedures and protocols
  • Accurately enter patient information and tests into the computer and accurately label specimens after the patient are drawn but before patient leaves
  • Deliver specimens to analytical areas
  • Work as a team member within the laboratory department. Communicate professionally with patients, providers and co-workers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Adhere to the Phlebotomy Clinical Laboratory Standards
  • When needed, ability to work at other locations

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current National Certification OR Registration as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist OR the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment
  • 1+ years of related experience working as Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant
  • 6+ months of experience performing routine blood and urine tests
  • 6+ months of experience with equipment and testing to perform quality control checks
  • Basic level of knowledge of Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA)
  • Basic level of computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience at a multi-specialty clinic or acute care facility, and experience with a laboratory computer system
  • New grads welcomed and encouraged to apply

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
