What You Should Know About the Pharmacy Technician:
- Hours are variable depending on department needs. Shifts include Mornings, Afternoons, Weekends, Holidays, and Nights.
- This position is based within Jefferson Regional Pharmacy Department
Job Summary:
Under the direction of and subject to verification by a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Tech will assemble and distribute pharmaceuticals, maintain records, and assist in the technical aspects of the pharmacy. Upon completion of specialized training, may compound sterile admixtures.
Pharmacy Tech Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required.
- This is a safety sensitive position. *
- Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- A spirit of teamwork and an amiable demeanor
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and logical thinking skills
- Demonstrate an attitude of professionalism and excellence.
- Ability to work with computers
- Preferred Requirements:
- History of Pharmacy Technician experience, preferably in a hospital setting
